Description:

Spritzer (Quick Chocolate Spritzer) arrived on Saturday, March 14 from the State College area. Her previous owners are getting out of the horse business due to personal medical conditions and recent heart attack by one of the owners. Spritzer has been ridden very little in the last five years. One of the owners has ridden Spritzer approximately 2 or 3 times in the last 1-1/2 to 2 years. She was ridden about 2 months ago for about 20 - 30 minutes. There was no problem just getting on and riding her even after all that time. She uses a snaffle bit. The last time she was ridden, she did play with the bit alot, most likely because she hasn't had a bit in for some time.

Spritzer has one curious habit that she has had ever since she was purchased at 2 years old. She lays her ears back - not pins them back. It makes her look crabby but she has never done anything wrong. They used to say that her momma did not train her properly.

Spritzer is up-to-date on her shots with Coggins test done on 12/10/08. Feet trimming done every 8 weeks, and last done on 2/10/09 (she is barefoot). Dental was done 2-1/2 to 3 years ago with vet check last spring indicating that they did not need done. Papers stating that she is Grade Mare Certification by Rocky Mountain Horse Association (foaled on 4/2/90; sire is Buddy Roe and Dam is Autum Delight).

Spritzer has good ground manners and has gone through the John Lyons Training Program. She was one of the horses that Jan Huffman from New Holland used to get his John Lyons Select Certification. Spritzer is good on both the trail and in the ring, and loads into a trailer easily.

Spritzer does have Cushings and requires daily medication to keep it under control. She is an easy keeper, 15 hands and a little overweight. Our trainer has worked with Spritzer to evaluate her and found that she is extremely easy to ride and very willing. She has an excellent temperament and would be a perfect horse for a beginner rider - she LOVES children! Adoption Fee is $750.
