Description:

Barney arrived on December 8, 2008 and has already adjusted to his new home. He is about 20 years old according to his vet check. The vet stated that Barney is in excellent health, has a healthy coat and recently had his teeth floated. He is a big stocky Standardbred who drives as well as rides and has a nice temperament.

Barney was acquired because his previous owner (age 82) had a severe accident and is no longer capable of caring for the horse. Barney had not been ridden in about one year and has already begun his training program and is progressing nicely.

His previous owner used him to pull a full size carriage. We are not driving him, here at the barn, but we will let you know how he does under saddle. Adoption Fee is $750.
